The HSJ has reported on a leaked letter from Sir David Dalton, the lead negotiator for government and NHS employers on the junior doctors' contract. Here's our response.
A Department of Health spokesperson said:
Talks are ongoing between representatives from the British Medical Association, NHS Employers and the Department of Health, and, as agreed with Acas, we will not be commenting on the details of these talks. We are committed to creating a contract that is fair for doctors and delivers safe care for patients seven days a week.
